Rat vs. Possum - Daughter of Sunshine

AWESOME ALBUM and AWESOME ALBUM ART

This album is great. Australia's Rat vs. Possum blends poppy beats, melancholy heartfelt lyrics, and ANIMAL NOISES into a perfect medley of success. The music comes across as upbeat, sincere and oddly remorseful. If you can't tell from my ravings, i kinda dig it. big time.

The best way i think i can describe them is to say they sound like animal collective, if animal collective were good (sorry i abhor animal collective except for that one song (My Girls)).

Anyway, this is the kind of music that melds itself to your mood. Its kinda trippy, kinda happy, and kinda sad. Its floaty, flirty, and flippant.

And, from a synaesthetic, i can confidently say they got the cover art right! that rarely happens!

I would tell you my favorite tracks, but honestly i don't have one. Each track is better than the first, even if you listen to the album backwards.

They don't have any music vids at the moment so here's a link to their myspace:
